Homecoming

Friday, October 14th, was Grady's Homecoming game and our first home game of the year!! Fans and students alike were very excited. The game kicked off with the coronation of the Homecoming Queen at 7pm.

The four nominees Jessi Everett, Kinley McMorries, Ashlynn Peugh, and Delaney Saunders. 

Our first nominee is Senior, Jessi Everett. Jessi is the daughter of Cody Bob and Shana Everett. She participates in basketball, FCA, Music, and debate. Jessi is currently the National Honor Society and Senior class president.  She is also a national High School Rodeo qualifier. Jessi enjoys coaching young rodeo participants in the community and spending time with her friends, her boyfriend, her horses, and her dog, Drover. Jessi has been accepted into Texas Tech University to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. After that she plans to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic and specialize in AMIT therapy.  

Our next nominee is Senior, Kinley McMorries. Kinley is the daughter of Vance and Shai McMorries.  She participates in cheerleading, one act play, track, Student Council, FCA, 4H and is currently the President of the Grady FFA chapter. Kinley is also an active member in the Tarzan Baptist youth group. She enjoys showing goats, going to the lake and surfing, and working with her dad.  Upon graduation, Kinley plans to attend either Texas Tech or West Texas A&M to pursue a degree in agriculture. 

Our third nominee is Senior, Ashlynn Peugh. Ashlynn is the daughter of Cody and Shanna Peugh.  She participates in Congressional debate, LD Debate, Persuasive Speaking, cheerleading, the national honor society, FCA, and FFA.  Ashlynn is currently the president of Student Council and the Martin County 4-H club. Ashlynn’s hobbies include showing pigs, going to the lake, and livestock judging.  Upon graduation, Ashlynn plans to attend Texas A&M to study Biomedical Sciences.  She hopes to become a pediatric pain management specialist.  

Our final nominee is Senior, Delaney Saunders. Delaney is the daughter of David and Dessa Saunders.  She participates in basketball, debate, the national honor society, student council, FFA, cheerleading, and track.  Delaney’s hobbies include baking cupcakes, working out with her family, and going to the lake.  Upon graduation, Delaney hopes to attend Texas Tech University and earn a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in business.  

The 2022 Homecoming is Miss Kinley McMorries. Congratulations!!!
