Good afternoon Wildcats! We wanted to let everyone know that bus routes will return to normal in the morning. If for any reason you see conditions that might affect the route, please contact your driver to communicate. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout the last few days.
Good morning Wildcats. We are excited to see everyone at 10:00 am this morning. Please use caution as you are coming to school. We have been out checking roads, they appear to be clear. Drive slow and carefully. Remember buses will not run this morning and will be on pavement only this afternoon.
Grady ISD will have a 10 am start on Wednesday, January 28th. Buses WILL NOT run tomorrow morning and will run on asphalt only for the afternoon. Thank you for understanding.
Out of an abundance of caution and with above freezing temperatures not expected before noon tomorrow, Grady ISD has decided to cancel school for Tuesday, January 27 in order to keep our students and staff safe. We will continue to monitor road conditions and keep you updated with any changes.
All high school basketball games for Tuesday, January 27th have been cancelled. The varsity boys game at Loop has been rescheduled for Thursday at 5:00 pm.

Due to weather conditions, Grady ISD will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. All JH basketball games scheduled for Monday are also cancelled. Student and staff safety remains our top priority.

Important Announcement – Early Dismissal Friday (1/23)
Grady ISD is closely monitoring the forecast for potentially severe weather expected to impact our area.
Out of an abundance of caution, Grady ISD will have an early release on Friday (1/23) at 12:30 p.m.
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. District administration will continue to closely monitor weather conditions.
District administration will meet at 5:00 a.m. on Friday (1/23) to review the most current weather and road conditions. If there is any change to Friday’s schedule, an update will be sent to parents and guardians immediately following that meeting.
Bus transportation for Friday’s early release will be determined by 9:30 a.m. Parents and guardians will be notified as soon as that decision is made so families can plan accordingly.
Looking ahead to Monday (1/26), there is a possibility that road conditions could remain hazardous due to ice. District personnel will assess road conditions early Monday morning, and if a school closure or late start is necessary, that decision will be communicated by that morning.
If additional changes are needed, the following notifications will occur:
1. An automated alert to all parents and guardians
2. Updates posted on Grady ISD’s Facebook page
