Parents! In regards to UIL, our coordinator was just informed (late yesterday afternoon) that parents will not be allowed in the building at Borden County. If parents are interested in picking their children up from UIL, you are welcome to let us know ahead of time or contact the school the day of at 432-466-9727 (a cell phone that will be at the event) to check your child/children out from UIL at Borden County!

Hello all! We have a couple of things in regards to JH and elementary UIL that will take place this Thursday and Friday. First off, Borden County will NOT be allowing parents in the rooms during speaking events. This does not mean that parents can't attend, but just know that you will not be allowed in the rooms to hear your child perform. Second, all notes with information on when your kids will be leaving and returning will go home today. Please check their backpacks this afternoon! Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome back!! We're looking forward to a great week of basketball and UIL!!! Go Cats!!!

If you are interested in having your 3rd-8th grader be a part of Grady Jr. FFA please send Mr. Disselhorst their name by Tuesday. If you've sent your student’s name, please resend it so I can double check to make sure I have it. Requirements are: Junior FFA members must be at least eight years old by Dec 1st and in the third grade. There will not be a fee this year for membership

Some of the FFA members were in action today at the Area II LDE contest. The Greenhand Chapter Conducting Team and the Greenhand Creed speaker did a great job!!

Our high school Spanish classes had fun making a turkey of their own with all of the things they are thankful for!

Our Floral Design class was at it again! They made these beautiful Fall centerpieces and cornucopia arrangements for staff members!!

Mrs. Cearley was the "winner" of Student Council's turkey fundraiser! She was a great sport and walked the halls rocking her turkey costume!!!

Wishing all of our students a great Thanksgiving Break!!!

Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades had a fantastic day at Flying Y Farms! Many of the Pre-K and Kinder kids were super excited about riding a school bus for the first time!
DeAnn Yates took the students through her high tunnels and explored all of the gardens. They even got to eat a farm fresh carrot and feed the tops to the chickens! They learned about beneficial bugs and harmful bugs and weeds.
Samantha Borgstedt had fresh pumpkin, pecan, and banana bread for the students to sample, as well as pear and peach jams made from homegrown fruit. The students learned about the fresh ingredients used to make the breads! They got to see a cotton plant up close and touch the fiber and seeds.
Thank you to Flying Y Farms for hosting this event! We look forward to many more educational field trips with you!

We had an amazing Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday! Thanks to our cafeteria staff for all of their work preparing the meal, to all of the guests that visited and helped make this a special day for our kids, and our Seniors for serving their fellow students and community!!!
